Jillian's pups wanted to wish everyone a safe and wonderful final night of 2015! Whether you are staying home or heading out, please take care of yourself and of course, your pets!

Dasher wanted to drop by and say "Happy New Year" to everyone! His siblings have all been adopted and will head to new homes in January. His very own wish for 2016 is that a nice family will scoop him up too! Help us make that wish come true for him?

Willy, one year on. He's filled out some more, thriving and most importantly is loved unconditionally by his entire family. Thank you Whitney!

Some of you may be familiar with the story of Jillian and her puppies, from West Memphis Animal Shelter. Well, the good news is that they are PMAR babies now! The WMAS went above and beyond and with the generous help of their supporters, were able to cover the cost of the surgery to fix her jaw. She's resting comfortably now in the foster home, where her puppies are also. Unfortunately, Jillian is heartworm positive, so we will be reaching out soon to ask for some assistance in raising funds for her treatment. We will be vetting the babies in the coming weeks and hope to have them ready for adoption in February. Meant...

This little guy, appropriately named Turbo (Teddy) by one of the kids in his foster family, is settling in great! He was abandoned a few days ago and will be vetted and ready for adoption soon!

Remember Jasper (formerly Geronimo), who was rescued from "the room" at MAS? Well this little guy ain't so little any more! Here's Jasper enjoying the holiday festivities with his mom and dad. We couldn't be more happier for this handsome fellow.

Some news today regarding Memphis Animal Services:

"Memphis Animal Services Director James Rogers is the latest Wharton appointee to be shown the door.

"We've decided to go in a new direction, do a national search for a new director,” said Strickland. “And I'm hopeful that we'll get somebody really good."

Strickland wants a person who can work with animal advocates, not perpetuate the divisiveness at MAS.

"And not that they're going to run the place,” said Strickland. “But their voice should be heard."

This handsome boy is Cooper (formerly Ross), rescued from Senatobia Tate County Animal Shelter right before Christmas, in honor and memory of our PMAR canine family member, Aubie. Cooper is settling really well with his foster family and is ready to move on to his forever home! He is neutered, vaccinated and heartworm negative (yay!). We think he's a lab and border collie mix - what we know for sure is he is a GREAT dog with a wonderful temperament!

2015 was a busy year for PMAR, with over 140 dogs coming under the wings of our small foster-based rescue. As the year draws to a close, it gives us great joy to look back at all of the happy faces and new beginnings. We hope you enjoy this slideshow of the PMAR 2015 Rescue Dogs. We would like to thank all of our Volunteers, Foster Families, Adopters, and Donors. It is because of YOU that we were able to help so many deserving dogs this past year. We look forward to your continued support in 2016!
