The final chapter of Layla's story was set in motion today - her forever home! Scott and Renee dropped her off this afternoon and everyone is very happy at how it all worked out so well. Great family, same town as her foster and they will even be able to visit from time to time. Most of you will remember the long journey Layla has traveled to get to where she is today. Huge thanks to Heather & Scott Thompson here in Memphis and to Scott and Renee, her northern foster family. Most of all, thank you Emily and Mike for opening your hearts and home to this very special girl
On the left is Ruby on July 3rd when Jo's daughter found her. Emaciated, covered in 100+ ticks, had recently given birth. She was wearing a thick leather collar (like the kind dog fighters use), scars, wounds and HW+. Fast forward two months to September 3rd on the right. She's still waiting on her immiticide injections for the heartworms but her other injuries have healed and she's thriving. She's excellent with people, including children, and loves their dog Max (no cats). She will be ready for her forever home when she has completed her heartworm treatment. Thank you Jo, Erin and family for all you have done. A tru...
Rocky has worked off his post transport energy and decided it's time for a nap. He's relaxed, comfortable and getting ready for the next chapter - forever home ❤️. Many thanks to Kelly and David for taking him in, allowing him to have time to heal, and once again to Scott and Renee for taking over the reins until we find that "perfect match"!
Little Gabe is finally headed to his forever family in Connecticut ❤️. This TINY pup beat the odds when he beat parvo and what a character he is! Full of life, love and energy and we can't wait to hear how he is doing as he grows up! Have a happy life little guy, we all love you! Thanks to Oak Tree for saving his life, to Mariah for fostering and all involved for making this possible.
Rocky the Rockstar left Memphis this morning and headed to New England! This handsome doggie already has a great application and is going to Scott and Renee's fabulous foster home (lucky boy!) until his forever family is found. Kelly and David - thank you so much for all you've done for this sweet dog. He's going to have a great life now - all because you guys made the decision to stop and help.
This is a courtesy post to help this pretty girl find her forever home.
Lily was found by Joanne when they went to check on a rental property they own that was recently vacated. Not surprised because it happens way too often, Lily was found abandoned by her owners who had moved and left her behind. Joanne, being the animal advocate and having such a huge heart tried to take her home but Lily was scared and skittish of people. With the help of some rescue folks who have a knack for this type of situation, Lily was caught and she came home with Joanne. Joanne and her husband are both helping Lily to see she can trust hum...
#A289762 is now Luna Lovelace (from Harry Potter), because she's the color of the moon! She was spayed yesterday afternoon and this was taken when she got to her foster home to rest up. Last night she wouldn't hardly come to Jo. This morning Jo called Luna and she came running! She's very sweet! Luna has a little bit of hair loss so we're going to have the vet take a look at her this week, she does react as though she has been hit when approached but with lots of TLC we can reassure her that life is good from now on!
