The bottom right photograph shows Presley about two months ago. He arrived to his Connecticut foster family on Saturday and continues to thrive! Another little survivor who beat the odds thanks to his amazing foster families!
MAS #A284829, now Presley, is a little fighter! He's had such a rough road since leaving MAS a couple of weeks ago. Given that he was so emaciated and wormy, his foster mom is working on refeeding slowly, and dealing with complications of a gut infection. We are hopeful that he's turned a corner in the last 24 hours, pumpkin and rice isn't quite so tasty to him any more and that's a good sign! We are forever grateful to Kim and Karen for taking great care of him. He has gained 2lbs this last week or so, we can't wait to share the rest of his journey with you!
Little Presley is sleeping soundly snug as a bug in a rug tonight and after a bath he's all squeaky clean too. Maybe, given the markings, we should have called him Gizmo! He will see the vet first thing Monday and for now his foster mom is taking it slow with his feeding, small and frequent to get this little guy back to health!
Freedom Ride! This little guy was on the "disposition" list and severely emaciated - we had to help. Huge thanks to Kim, Karen and Katie (who will be his northern foster) for making it happen for little Presley!
