Hi everyone! This year we implemented, on a bigger scale, a Community Spay Neuter Program for both dogs and cats. Rescuing pets in need is great, and it's what we do EVERY day - but we also want to attack the source of the problem, which is pet overpopulation. So far this year, we have sterilized 26 dogs/puppies and 11 cats/kittens. There is no "exact" criteria for our program. We take every situation on a case by case basis. We were fortunate enough to receive a donation from one of our amazing volunteers earlier in the year that allowed us to kickstart things and get into high gear and with the ultimate goal of reducing animal overpoplulation - we WANT to help! So, if you know of someone whose dog or cat is producing litters of babies, tell them we will spay or neuter for FREE! We will even arrange for transport to a vet if that's an issue. IF you know someone who has fallen on hard times and needs a hand up to take care of their dog, let us know! We want to help keep pets in good homes and when we can help, we will! Thank you for your continued support of our little rescue that does big things!
